The visit has been organized by the professor of the preparatory school of this university, Dr. José Duque, whose objective was that the students who are applying for the career of Business Administration and management and those who are already studying it, have practical knowledge of how the different departments of a company work, whether private or public. The hotel sector has been the first to be visited.
Upon arriving at the place, the management team, headed by the acting general manager, Mr. Mercante, received the expedition commanded by Professor Duque, on the esplanade of the Grand Hotel. After the words of welcome, the hosts and their guests began the visit to obtain information on the tasks carried out by each department
The first Unit to offer information on its operation has been that of ICTs, followed by the Human Resources, Marketing, and Finance departments, among others. All have explained to the university students the work that each one of them does. The guests have not remained silent, after the interventions of the managers of the different units visited, it was the turn of questions, issues and doubts that have been clarified by the hosts
After touring the departments, Professor Duque explained the reasons that motivated him to organize this activity with the students:“the task we have done today was to place the student in the practical world of business administration”.Some university students have also given their point of view regarding the visit, Borja Pedro Nguema: “it has been a very interesting activity, which has given us as an introduction to the labor field, how the departments work”, “the attention is the IT department for their enormous work”.
According to Dr. José Duque, this visit was already planned for a few months, it has been the first but it will not be the last, they will continue to organize the same outings so that the students of the Afro-American University of Central Africa have knowledge about what they awaits in the labor field.
