INSTALLATION OF THE NEW RECTOR
Considering the vision of the Government of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea for the AAUCA to be developed as an institute of higher learning of reference for Equatorial Guinea, Africa and beyond in terms of quality and relevance of teaching& learning and research, the need to internationalize the university in all aspects is of the highest priority. In this line, Professor Dr. Said IRANDOUST PhD, a Swedish national, was selected as the Rector of the AAUCA after a rigorous international process lead by UNESCO.
The ceremony of handing over the office to His Excellency Rector Prof. Said IRANDOUST PhD took place on February 14, 2021, in the presence of the following Honorable guests:
- E. the First Vice- Prime Minister in charge of the Ministry of Education, Higher Education, and Sports, accompanied by the Director of Higher Education of the same Ministry;
- The UNESCO Regional Director for Central Africa accompanied by a Delegation from UNESCO;
- The Local Authorities, such as the Governor and the Mayor of the Province of Djibloho;
- Members of the AAUCA scientific committee;
- The Vice-Rectors of AAUCA (Administrative and Academic);
- The Secretary General of AAUCA;
- The members of the AAUCA educational community, the support staff and students;
The important vision of H. E. the President of the Republic, Head of State and Government, President OBIANG NGUEMA MBASOGO, for the AAUCA was highlighted during the ceremony. The invited speakers presented their ideas for the AAUCA, and wished the new Rector all success.
