The Afro-American University of Central Africa (AAUCA) is seeking applications for several positions as AAUCA teachers, including preparatory classes. Candidates who meet the following requirements are invited to submit their application:

• hold a PhD or a PHD; or
• hold a research master’s degree or equivalent degree;
• have a teaching experience of 03 years at the Superior or 05 years at the Secondary; or
• graduated from a Faculty of Education or a Teacher Training School (E.N.S.)
• speak and write fluently:
  • English and Spanish;
  • Spanish and French; or in the best case,
  • English, Spanish and French
• be of good character;
• have never been convicted;
• be engaged in university research.

TEACHER’S MISSIONS

Placed under the direct authority of the competent Head of Department, the teacher’s main mission is to animate a magisterial teaching of a teaching unit (U.E.) according to the License-Master-Doctorate (LMD) system.

So he will have to ensure:

• magisterial teaching (C.M.);
• tutorials (T.D.);
• practical work (T.P.);
• the scientific, pedagogical and psychological supervision of learners;
• the direction of the research work.

In addition, it will contribute to the implementation of AAUCA’s vision and educational strategy with regard to:

• university research;
• professionalization;
• support for development.

RECRUITMENT CRITERIA FOR PREPARATORY CLASS TEACHERS

Applications must include:

• 1 application form less than 03 months old;
• 1 copy of the required degree;
• 1 copy of the PhD or PhD thesis for the holders of these diplomas;
• 1 copy of birth certificate less than 3 months old;
• 1 criminal record of less than 3 months old;
• 4 4×4 identity photos in color;
• 1 certificate of teaching experience signed by a university authority;
• 1 medical certificate less than 02 months old signed by a public doctor;
• scientific publications;
• 1 declaration attesting not to receive double salary (non-existence of any circumstance that could give rise to a double salary situation);
• 1 CV detailed and signed;
• 1 letter of commitment on the honor on the authenticity of the pieces presented and the actual availability of the candidate.
• In the case of equal opportunities, pedagogical experience and scientific publications will be decisive criteria for separating candidates.
• Preference will be given to candidates of Equatoguinean nationality fulfilling all the criteria.
• Consider, as far as possible, the gender approach.

NB: AAUCA may, if necessary, call upon missionary teachers with whom it will sign specific contracts. In this case the documents to be submitted will be the same except for the declaration of honor certifying the non-existence of any circumstance that could give rise to a double salary situation. The teachers thus selected will have the status of missionary teachers.

NB: A convention could be signed between AAUCA and the Yaounde Pilot Center which is an institution specialized in teaching French to non-French speakers and English to non-English speakers. It would be a win-win partnership.
